We all took a drive down to honolulu today to visit Pearl Harbor. I went once before when I was about 12 but I really appreciated it this time. Pearl Harbor is my favorite event in history. I LOVE the movie and it just means so much to American history. My favorite part was being on the actual USS Arizona monument and looking down at the ship below. There is still oil coming up from the boat and it's estimated to be coming up for several hundred more years! The huge wall with all the names on it was just amazing also. I can't believe how many people died that day. Not to mention everybody who died in the war altogether! I loved seeing Pearl Harbor today and thinking about everything that goes along with it.

Large Cities
Big cities contain some pretty weird curbside activity.... For example:
This man sat there for probably 10 minutes with a big crowd gathered round and not ONE PERSON was sitting down for a photo! Naturally I felt a little sorry for him, and seeing that I was the only one in my party that wasn't 100% creeped out by him, I took a seat! I had to bring my dad along though, of course!
Or how about this?!!?
ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Not only is this man LAYING on the side of the FILTHY road, but he is full on RECEIVING A MASSAGE FROM THAT STRANGE WOMAN!! And this picture doesn't even do it justice. Just before this, she was straddling him and digging her elbows into his BACK!!!
Oh, how I love big cities :)

Honolulu International...

Last weekend was spent at Sundance on the ski slopes.
This weekend? Honolulu International Airport here I come!
My family is headed to Oahu for 7 days! This couldn't have come at a better time because it is the dead of winter in Provo and I needed a break and some sun! I can't wait to hit the beach this morning! My mom's 2 brothers are here with their family's as well :) Thank you dad for the wonderful vaca up ahead!
Funny Story of the day: We were all at Safeway buying groceries for our condos for the week. Breakfast and lunch food. So we have a lot of people in our group... and we didn't notice this old woman trying to get by us in the isle next to where we were congregated. So we hear this loud
"EXCUSE ME!!!"
And we look up to see this woman shaking her hands above her head in frustration that there are so many people in her way! Oops! Well, with that many people sometimes it's hard to stay out of everybody's way! Sorry lady.
